Following regular Season play, the Beth - Wood Baseball League (B - W), comprised of participants who have registered to play in the Spring Season, participates in numerous friendship as well as other competitive All Star Tournaments throughout the State of Connecticut in their respective age groups.  The B - W also participates in Babe Ruth League sanctioned State Tournaments, which is a specific requirement of our Charters.  The All Star season begins early June and potentially could last until the first week in August.

Our nomination process for Players remains the same – as adopted by the Beth – Wood Board of Directors, every Player shall be given the equal opportunity to attend a voluntary try out for their respective All Star Teams (there will be no written nominations from Team Managers).  This will ensure that every Player has an equal chance to participate on an All Star Team if he / she is fortunate to be selected as a member of one of those Teams.  Please read our updated 2021 All Star Policies below … 

NOTE :  All Star try outs have been scheduled to be held on Saturday morning, May 7^th at both Acorn Hill fields from 9:00 until 12:00 Noon (RAIN DATE is Sunday, May 8^th from 9:00 AM until 12 Noon) – 12U will be on Acorn # 1 and 10U will be on Acorn #2.  This will give every Player who wishes to participate on either of the 10U or 12U District All Star Teams an equal opportunity with sufficient time to participate in this try out.  Try outs for both Teams will be standardized so ALL Players will be carefully evaluated running through the exact same drills.

For those parents of children wishing to try out for the 12U ‘District’ Team, you MUST scan / email an executed copy of this form to the Majors Commissioner Bob Hill (hillrh76@gmail.com) no later than Thursday, May 5^th – we are not going to accept forms at the field on the date of try outs.  This also pertains to those 12U Players wishing to participate on the 12U Tournament Team   

NOTE :  If you are a 10 – year old playing in Majors this Spring, you have the option to try out for either the 12U or 10U District Team – you cannot try out for the 12U Team and if you are not successful, try out and play for the 10U Team.  You have to make that decision beforehand.

Same as 8 – year olds playing in Minors this Spring - you have the option to try out for either the 10U District Team or the 8’s Travel Team - you cannot try out for the 10U Team and if you are not successful, try out and play for the 8’s Travel Team.  You have to make that decision beforehand.
