2024 Play Up Policies
In a concerted effort to retain Players within our League, the Board of Directors of the Beth – Wood Baseball League have once again adopted the following policy that will allow 6 – year olds the opportunity to play up in the Rookies Division (with children ages 7 & 8), 8 – year olds the opportunity to play up in the Minors Division (with children ages 9 & 10) and 10 – year olds the opportunity to play up in the Majors Division (with children ages 11 & 12), a flexibility that should be an enhancement to our League :
All 6, 8 & 10 – year olds (who will be a baseball 6, 8 & 10 – year old as of April 30, 2024 – Cal Ripken age cut off date) will be eligible to try out for the Rookies / Minors / Majors respectively. This will be a VOLUNTARY option given to all 6’s, 8’s & 10’s who register with Beth – Wood Baseball. All parents of 6, 8 & 10 – year olds who do register will be contacted prior to the Rookies, Minors / Majors Try-Outs to determine if they are interested or not in having their children participate voluntarily in these Try-Outs.
If you are interested, you will be contacted via email before the Screenings are held to download, print & complete a copy of the respective Policy that you can complete / submit in advance (click on the link below). You will be asked at that time to submit these to the respective League Commissioners, which will allow your child to attend either the Rookies, Minors and / or Majors Try – Outs :
