2017 Policies
6,8 & 10 - Year old Voluntary Try-Outs
In a concerted effort to retain Players within our League, the Board of Directors of the Beth – Wood Baseball League have once again adopted the following policy that will allow 6 – year olds the opportunity to play up in the Rookies Division (with children ages 7 & 8), 8 – year olds the opportunity to play up in the Minors Division (with children ages 9 & 10) and 10 – year olds the opportunity to play up in the Majors Division (with children ages 11 & 12), a flexibility that should be an enhancement to our League :
All 6, 8 & 10 – year olds (who will be a baseball 6, 8 & 10 – year old as of April 30, 2017 – Cal Ripken age cut off date) will be eligible to try out for the Rookies / Minors / Majors respectively. This will be aVOLUNTARY option given to all 6’s, 8’s & 10’s who register with Beth – Wood Baseball. All parents of 6, 8 & 10 – year olds who do register will be contacted prior to the Rookies, Minors / Majors Try-Outs to determine if they are interested or not in having their children participate voluntarily in these Try-Outs.
If you are interested, there will be a form developed on line and you be all be contacted via email that you can complete / submit in advance or if you wish a hard copy, please click on the link below to download / print off a copy of the respective Policy, complete and bring it with you when you attend either the Minors and / or Majors Try – Outs :
