Following regular Season play, the Beth - Wood Baseball League (B - W), comprised of participants who have registered to play in the Spring Season, participates in numerous friendship as well as competitive All Star Tournaments throughout the State of Connecticut in their respective age groups.  The B - W also participates in Babe Ruth League sanctioned State Tournaments, which is a specific requirement of our Charters.  The All Star season begins in early June and potentially could last until the first week in August.

Our nomination process for Players remains the same – as adopted by the Beth – Wood Board of Directors, every Player shall be given the equal opportunity to attend a voluntary try out for their respective All Star Teams (there will be no written nominations from Team Managers).  This will ensure that every Player has an equal chance to participate on an All Star Team if he / she is fortunate to be selected as a member of one of those Teams.

Note – All Star try outs for both the 10U & 12U District Teams will be held on Saturday, May 7^th at Acorn Hill from 9:00 AM until 12 Noon, in lieu of during a week night (Rain Date – Sunday, May 8^th).  This process will give us additional time to more carefully evaluate ALL Players participating in the try outs.  If you wish to participate on either of these All Star Teams, you MUST attend this try out (only a documented injury and / or an illness can possibly be used to be excused).

Also note that there will be NO Try Outs for either of the 10U or 12U Tournament Teams – those who do try out for their respective District Teams and are not successful at being selected have the opportunity to continue to play baseball during the summer and participate on the Tournament Team – this includes all those players as well who could not make the commitment to try out and participate on a District Team.

For Parents of children who want to participate in this voluntarily try out for All Stars, they must complete the appropriate Parent’s Consent Forms noted below must bring a signed hard copy to the field on the date of the scheduled try out.  Note that in 2022, the League will once again be forming a combined 9’s & 10’s ‘A’ District Team (10U) and a combined 11’s & 12’s ‘A’ District Team (12U) – we will not be forming separate Teams as we have done in previous years.  Click on the respective link(s) below :
